Welcome new patient

On this page you will find practical information about what to do and what to expect on your first visit at our clinic. Details about your health will be discussed during your visit and you will have plenty of opportunity to address any concerns that you may have about your condition(s) with our acupuncturist. You are our priority and we want your experience at our clinic to be very satisfactory. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

How to prepare for your first visit:

Fill out the patient forms ahead of time and bring them to your appointment.

Bring information of all medications which you are taking as well as test or lab results pertinent to your condition.

Dress in loose, relaxing clothes. Shorts and t-shirt preferred.

Don't come to the treatment very hungry or very full. It's best to eat moderately 1-2 hours prior to your appointment.

Avoid excessive caffeine, alcohol, or drug consumption before the treatment.

The total time you will spend on the first visit is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.

Come with an open mind and a positive attitude, this is so important. It has been well-proven that healing is more effective for

people with good faith and a receptive mind than the doubtful skeptics -- as doubts often produce resistance and barriers to the

   healing process.

Interview & treatment session:

An in-depth assessment of your condition and discussion about treatment plan will be conducted at the start of your visit.

The acupuncture treatment is given following the interview.

Treatment is normally administered with your clothes on. If disrobing is required, you will be draped properly.

After the needles are inserted, you stay on the treatment table for thirty minutes while the needles do their work.

You may experience various energetic sensations while the needles are retained and it is normal, such as momentary pain, itch,

numbness, heavy sensation of the body,  involuntary movement of limbs, feeling like you're sinking into the table, out of body

experience, spiritual or mystical states, non-ordinary experiences.

Your thirty minutes of treatment should be comfortable and relaxing. You may want to sleep, meditate, or just rest deeply.

Many of our patients experienced very deep sleep during their acupuncture treatment. According to research, the level of

rejuvenation that a person gets from a thirty minute session of acupuncture is equivalent to a good, solid eight hours of sleep!

This is one of the reasons why acupuncture is such a powerful treatment for stress.

We wish you a comfortable and enjoyable first treatment at our clinic!
